Dayna Di Fulvio is a genderfluid filmmaker and passionate advocate for women and gender-diverse people working in film. Based in Naarm/Melbourne, Dayna works as a 1st Assistant Director with a collective 10 years of experience across indie films, web series, TVCs, and feature productions. As a 1st AD, Dayna has worked on a range of projects including the drama feature Afterlight, which explores grief, loss, and family dynamics, and the award-winning, female-driven sci-fi series Classic. Their latest project, The Dysphoria, a Screen Australia funded trans-horror film, premiered at the renowned Fantasia Film Festival and Melbourne International Film Festival. Dayna is deeply committed to supporting diverse projects and has a love for building spaces for their community. Beyond the film set, they co-run Club DVD, a social film night that celebrates connection, conversation, and a shared love for underseen cinema.
