About Me

Hi! I'm Aleisha, and Indian-Australian filmmaker based in Melbourne. I started in film when I was 15 and living in Hong Kong, where I took a Media Studies class thinking I'd just be watching movies the whole time. Slowly I realised that there was way more to making films and I knew it was something I was going to spend the rest of my life doing! While studying at Swinburne I realised that there was only about 10 POC in my whole cohort of 80+ students and of those 10, only 3 were women so since graduating I've always made it a priority to work on diverse projects and have also aimed to give people who identify as women, HOD roles. I've been working as a full-time Producer in Advertising for the last few years but I still freelance in my free time and make projects with friends old and new. I'm currently in post production for 2 shorts and in pre production for 3 projects. I'd love to work on anything fun and epic and cool and awesome! #yolo #swag
